In many countries BRIEL machines have been recognised as having high quality and excellent design by both specialist magazines and well-known periodicals. This is the case in the U.S.A., Japan, Germany, U.K., France, Brazil, Spain and Portugal

In Portugal:

- models ES-51 Classic + ES-33 Estoril had been classified "Better Choice" for a consumer magazine;

- in 1997 model ES-33 Estoril won a prize with the "Design Stamp" attributed by the Design Portuguese Center

In E.U.A.:

- in 1996 models ES-15 Lido and ES-35 Chamonix were labelled of "Best Buy"; and the grinder CG-5 Java of "Recommended Product".
